Iron Chops

Iron Chops is a sextet lead by guitarist Jon “Woody” Wood. Jon is a long time member of the Minneapolis jazz scene currently living in Milwaukee Wisconsin and studying with classical guitarist Rene Izquierdo. Their performance on 2/28/2026 will feature underplayed jazz tunes like “Relaxing at the Camarillo” and “I Cover The Waterfront” along with Jon’s original compositions. Jon’s goal is to create an “arranged” sound to the group, reflecting the influence of albums by guitarist Barney Kessell and Minneapolis trombonist Pete Enblom.
